The "You Dont Like Me When I'm Angry" Tutor

i teach tuition and currently have 3 classes, and the class i had today was not one of the best or proudest class. Very naughty, dont listen to me basically no respect at all. i have to admit i am a very kind person, i smile always so does that mean i will be a easy to walk over? enough is enough of the handphone using and not paying attention. i was trying really hard to bring them back up to standard as mid year exam is coming and they are no where on par to what the suppose to be. sadly none of them are interested and to think that they still bear hopes for a JC education. Need to wake up my dear students, you all need to wake up. Really had trouble confiscating their phones till finally one of them left it unattended on the table thats where i grab it while i still had the chance, cos my words on not using the phone falls on deaf ears. sadly to say i was unable to do so too for the rest of the class and they still uses the phone openly regardless. then something unexpected happened - i left my own phone on my desk, i didnt know that they would possess the courage to take the teacher's phone, and they grab it. i was okay with them holding on to it, cos i have no need for it thus i did not demand for it back. let them have some"fun" holding the teacher's phone hostage, till i notice them fiddling with my facebook app, then threatens me that, i cannot imagine what horror they could do to me if i didnt return the phone. they wouldnt like what i would do next i am sure. so i asked for my phone back but the student asked for the phone back in return and i told the student that i would only return it if it gets turned off, otherwise that student could jolly well leave the class, cos i was fed up with their nonsense. so finally i got my phone back and i have to repeat myself a few times before the student finally turns the phone off. after that, the student nv used the phone again and started doing the work, managing to complete the worksheet which they started out, complaining was too difficult and couldnt understand. in fact it was all in their mind, they just are not concentrated in class with their phones around. what i did was only applied to one student, which might be a bias action, next week it will be the whole class phones to be off.
