its been such a long time...

haven blog for quite some time already, been playing DotA all night..

shoulder hasnt recovered yet, it is taking way too long, over the estimated 6 weeks already.. closing in to 2 months le, why is it still hurting.. if this goes on, i dunno when i will ride again. but to be truthful, it did cross my mind to give up riding.. it is so dangerous i always tink. but it is very convinent, a transport of my own. right now i feel so isolated without my bike, i cant go out as and when i like. but i somehow always feel that it is very unsafe to ride in sg, with all the road bullies. in the end i doubt i will give it up, because it is still my means of transport. i cant take bus forever because it doesnt give me freedom and and the timing isnt flexible you see.

work has been average this few days, no more praises from raymond and no more achievements lately, because of this stupid board that has got no manual making tracing so difficult plus the components has no part no, making them unidentifiable... and seeing raymond makes me feel damn sian. the tought of it jus spoils the mood. other than that it has been really fun working there because of the great company, ppl like RENO, OTS, CHEE WEE, TIGER, CHARLES, LKY PETER, MR BURN, SERENE, HIONG, JAMAL and all.. really fun company to be with. wats more entertaining is my trusty RADIO. great entertainer during lousy boring times but they jus keeps on playing the stupid HARDY song, listen till sian... 1 day can hear at least 5 times you know.. stupid SONG.

oh ya i wan to UPDATE on my NEW HAIR STYLE. heehee. ADIDAS sponsors me man ! =)
this costed my $18 bucks, and each line is actually $1... wah lao tio chopped siah. should haf gone to my auntie saloon to do it if i had know it was so easy to cut, i thought she might not know how to do it. and could haf dye my hair as well, all for FREE... lalalalal... after i did the hair, i showed it to mummy, and got scolded for it.. which i happly ignore as i like the new look. its now or never. last chance to play with the hairstyle already cos going army soon le mah, after come out will be too matured to play with all this le. so yupp here are the pict:

Singapore Technologies Aerospace System: Week 3

Monday:
completed the tracing of the schematic diagram for the Processor Board from the Fuel Qty Gauging System.

Tuesday:
started drawing out the whole picture of the schematic, linking every IC and components together. learnt how to sketch out the schematic diagram in the proper format e.g. drawing the address bus line as 1 single line instead of the 8 indivisual lines to make the diagram look neater and less complicated with congested lines. work was well done and praises from Raymond makes all the effort worthwhile. was handed up the next project, to trace the circuitry of the Airbus 320 Fuel Qty Test Set as the test set isnt functioning properly and to find and rectify the error. As for the sketched out shematic diagram, it will be drafted out on AutoCad after the completion of the new project.

Wednesday:
resoldering back all the ICs and Component that was taken out previously to trace the circuitry and troubleshooting the board after every componets are soldered back to ensure that the all components' connection are done up properly. but before any soldering is done, a little coat of Flux is applied to ensure that the solder gets to seep in easily into the other side to provide full contact of the component with the board. after all soldering is done, either alcohol or acetone is applied to clean away excess Flux. alcohol turned out to be the better remover compared to acetone. in the process of removing Flux with alcohol, the alcohol also removed the layer of laquer which was sturbborn and took a few wash to finally remove all of them. all of the circuit board we are working on haf a layer of laquer sprayed/painted on top of it to protect the components from moisture. it is advisable to remove the laquer before any troubleshooting is done as laquer inhibits any conductivity between the DMM probe and the components. but this is usually not practice as it requires alot of work to remove the laquer. what is normally done is using a pen knife to scrap away the laquer to reveal the metal.

Friday(half-day):

wat an eventful saturday.

first i recieved a call from roger. roger told me that kenny was involved in a road accident. and it was somewhere near vicom(yishun) and he has no idea where was it as well. so i thought it would be along the MRT line and i got my mother to drive me there since my mother knows kenny. when we reached there, kenny jus left on the ambulance leaving jasmine there. i was surprised to see tommy's bike lying on the road and was wondering who else was injuried because kenny's bike was by the road side. later did i found out tat kenny has gotten tommy's bike 3 days ago. and jasmine was riding kenny's kup kia. and i noticed jasmine was limping as well. damn she self-skidded when she heard the loud "BANG" behind her and turned back to look look and when she turn back front, a car was stopped infront. so e-BRAKE and skidded... sigh. wasted! anyway from kenny's side of ths story, he was turing right with the red light and green turn arrow and jasmine has pass the traffic light and as he almost complete his turn, a car came and "WHAMM" hit his rear end and his bike went spinning. he clammied that the car did not even slowed down at all as he could hear the wind of that car. lucky him, he wasnt hurt at all, jus some MINOR abrasion. why such impact and nothing? this is so unfair!!! mine no impact yet my bone breaks into 2.......... hiaz.. as for jasmine, some abraison here and there and she said its going to scar her and was damn sad about it. tink she jus haf to look after the wound carefully and it will turn out jus nice. not like mine hahaha so disfigured.!!

next up, soksok's birthday.
celebrated her birthday at MOS. thought there would be quite a few of us there but ended up only me. the rest of the gang nv turn up. well. and also i thought there would be a few of her girlfriends coming as well and i could easily land myself out of my sorry state but to my amazment, only eve was there.. damit. wasted $25 for that celebration. only had 3 shots of taquilla... dunno wat happened man. i tought i was going to get myself drunk tat night and have some really wild night but no, tat didnt happened. anway jus as long as she knew i am still there for her, i tink that is all that matters. happy sweet birthday sista!!

sth tat i learn today, 3 things. static can cause problems like magnetising sth. using the continutity test, can only check for continuitny and not to be used to test for shrotage of circuit as low resistance component will be shown as short shortage. soldering

work day

for work today, i finally completed my power supply and input board. tmr shall be moving on the the complicated and very prone to error, processor board.

for today's task, i drew up the final circuit for the circuit board and tested the voltages coming out from each terminals and make sure the drawings and voltages made sense(logical), eg. voltages from the power divider, from the output of the op amp etc. comparing it with the calculation done by me to make sure that the circuit is traced correctly. there is a precaution to take which we never practice in our workshop in school is that when using the multimeter and measuring voltages from a "live" board, we should try to minimise the chances of shorting the circuit with our probes. Reno taught me how by taping up the probe, only leaving the pointed points for contacts. Next up, the gain of all the op amps and transistors were also calculated and included into the diagram and finally handed to my supervisor for check and it went out well. well done to anthony for the 6 days of brain wacking circuit tracing !!

reno didnt came to work today, so i was pretty quiet as he is my talking buddy, always talks to him and ask him if i hit problems but today because of his absence i made friends with this uncle sitting opposite my bench named oh teck soon. pretty nice uncle and he does the airspeed indicator. he has been working in the company for the pass 20+ years, talk about loyalty man haha! then there was this guy working beside him, didnt really talk to him or catch his name but he is working on the "black box" something interesting, hope to learn more about this instruments in my stay.

healthy lifestyle day

early morning.... woke up jus to go to ECP for this healthy lifestlye exercise... x_x alalala... it was fun thou actually, and i actually did the workout with my still injuried shoulder =) wat was nice about today was actually there was this girl *beams* on roller blades who skated up to me and pass me a brocher and i might tink that she sees sth in me. i did thou, she was hmmm.. hahaha!! you know? LOL. or maybe i jus tink too much. cos she was jus skating around and there was alot of ppl around and she gt her eyes on me pretty far away where she was. so i guess she actually skated up and pass it to me. the usual me dun takes flyers from ppl. because i feel it is a waste of paper and always those flyers are bullshit. so was this that she gave me, total crap which is of no interest to me, jus wasting the paper. but it was from this girl thats why i accepted it. haha oh my.!

i ask myself., why am i still alone now? 5 more mths to army already and im still alone.. so look whose alone now huh?

Singapore Technologies Aeropace (System)

been sick and tired recently so this post is actually late by 5 days. so im going to jus voice out what i can remember =)

Started work well on the first day at the STAero (System) and reached guard hse early and waited a hell of a time alone for andrew CP and tim not knowing that denise is early as well and waiting alone at the bus stop too. if i knew we could haf waited tgt. and they were a lil late so i was late as well. sigh. but it was okay we werent marked for that. first day of work was siansational, we haf nothing to do for the first part of the day, my engineer was raymond and he was busy so i wasnt assigned any task to perform thus i hang around with CP and his engineer chua. and we work on a schematic blindly given by chua tgt. not knowing wat we are supposed to do with the schematic so we jus starred at it till lunch time. feel really sleepy and bored. up till after lunch till i went over and asked raymond if i had anything to do and he finally brought me to the instrument shop. there i was introduced to RENO TAN. a technician there for 16 years already, that long oh my. *everyone there has already work for at least more den 10 years and i heard RENO was the youngest thou he dun look at all old* he is a very helpful guy, help me in everything and i would ask him for him with anything of my work. and i was warmly welcome into the instrument shop, almost everyone came to say hi to me and i was "popular" there because my auntie and uncle is working in that building as well and everyone knows them. so many of them and i really had a hard time trying to remember their names so i jus called them all "uncle" and there are only 2 female in the shop, those old kind.... so disappointing i thought ST will haf more female around, guess i was wrong. and the day ended and i went out with the sistas for movie which ended walking around as everyone aeroplanes.

so next day falls, i couldnt wake up and ended up taking cab to work which cost $15 oh my.. damn it why has work got to be so far away. jus wish i had my bike back.. den it will be so shiok to go to work, dun haf to wake up so early in the morning. for the 2nd day i woke up late too damn another $15. but lucky for both instances, the cab came fast and i wasnt late for work. then now my uncle haf to give me morning call in the morning so that i could wake up. and i barely made it in time to meet in for the 4th and 5th day of work. damn!. everyday work was the same, reverse engineering tracing the circut of the power and input card of dunno wat plane - tink it is a fighter plane. kinda tough at first, dunno wat im doing and tracing in circles for the past 2 days and finally after dat i made some achivement. was commented as working slow by raymond and telling me that the board doesnt need 5 mths to trace. haha it really look damn complicated *if i could bring in a camera, i would haf taken an image and show it here* so with those words i decided to pull up my socks and prove sth to him. so by the last day i came out with a pretty good circuit design of the board thou not completed but it is 90% of it. this time he praised me saying that im very fast *not bad huh? hee * but i still didnt managed to complete the board on friday, i thought i could haf finished it by then but the transistors were tricky. and it was nearing the end of the day and i didnt really felt like using my head anymore so i left it for the next week and headed home. so far work was nice, everyone there treated me very well and i really like it. looking forward to the next day of work =)

Teacher's Day 06' & Avoinics 06' BBQ

this is the last year of MHSS already. school is closing down already. hiaz all the school i go to, all closes down, like my primary school as well. its like wth. anyway get to see all my teachers again and go back to where we used to haf our lessons. those were the days man. alot of photos we took but we they are not with me. every teacher we saw except ms evelyn teo. haha always on medical leave, must be pregnant !! LOL.

anyway after visiting our school we all went to the comex fair at the expo to walk around as gunner wants to get a digi cam for his shanghai trip. and he brought the sony T30 which cost $690, rich man huh? and his pay is like a pathetic $300 a mth, poor him. so after buying everything they all went for dinner and i PS dem for my poly class gathering at ECP. heehee

everything could be much more fun if i didnt haf this broken bone. so sian to go out play and cant play. blehz. i pratically did nothing for the BBQ but jus booking the pit heehee. and when we were there the lights wasnt working at all, it was spoiled and we had to take out our camera phone and shine our LED lights at the BBQ pit and half of the time they were BBQing blind. but the food turn out great. didnt eat much thou as usual of me in BBQ or buffet or steamboat. after everything we all PS hj and a few and all ran off heading home. kinda feel bad right now to tink about it. i wanted to go home early to play dota with sec sch friends but when i reached home, none was online. WTH. shouldnt have PS HJ they all and stayed overnight with them. feeling guilty now. hmm work going to start soon already as monday draws closer. Occupation no longer a student, ST Aerospace System ! =)
